Olympic Gold Bodies

So I'm sure most of you are as glued to the Olympics as I am. I cannot get home soon enough to catch the prime time events, shouting, closing my eyes, and screeching at every event, point, and fall. However let's be honest besides all those medals we are getting (and keep them coming!) it's hard not to notice these amazing bodies these athletes have. I don't know about you but I'm completely jealous! So I've put together some of these amazing women who have bodies that are Gold Medals.

Jordan Weber- Gymnastics. While she's totally trim she's just a little to muscular for my liking.

Vollmer in Swimming. Totes jealous of her arms- check out those guns!

These girls hands down are my favorite and totally envious of their bodies. I mean can they make Volleyball look any better? I don't think so. Not to mention they are both in their 30's and have kids! I'm in my mid-20's with no kids and I'm not even close to rocking a body like that. Keep up the good work ladies you will be my inspiration. Starting tomorrow.

Manni Monday

Oh hello Monday, I am actually excited to see you because that means I'm closer to my days off! But enough about that let's get to what really matters because I'm once again linking up with Glitter & Gloss for

Now this week I didn't get my nails done yet (I know how dare me) but with the no chip manicure it's really lasting me 2 weeks! So I am actually going on Thursday to get these bad boys done and a much needed pedicure. However when I was at the nail salon about 2 weeks ago they had the newest collection by Essie. As you may know I'm all things obsessed with Essie so when I saw this new Fall 2012 collection I wanted to die and go and buy every color. Here is the preview:

There is just much to talk about- first of all the name: Stylenomics- LOVE! The colors- perfect for Fall, I mean I'm personally loving Ms. Fancy Pants and Recessionista- however I have a feeling I may be picking up a couple more like Don't Sweat It. I also have to say I'm loving the names of these colors- they are to cute. I really love the Ms. Fancy Pants. So fun. I can't wait until this hit shelves. Has anyone seen them out in stores yet?? If so, where??

What collection are you loving for this fall?

Sunday Social

Good Morning Dolls, well hopefully lot's of you will be reading this in the comfort of your home or bed waking up on this lazy Sunday. I am however at work- working a stretch but can't wait for my two days off in a row! Woo Hoo. Since last week I remembered to link up with A Complete Waste of Makeup for:
Sunday Social

Here are this weeks questions:

1. What is your favorite Fall activity?
I love on my days off driving to my local Starbucks (we have an adorable downtown area in our town where the streets are lined with gorgeous trees that turn the most beautiful colors) and walking in the falling leaves and getting a Carmel apple cider. Yummy!!

2. Do you follow a football team? If so which one and why?
I'm not a die hard fan of any sports team, beacause I'm from and live in Chicago I do support the Bears but again couldn't tell you if a player was right in front of me. Actually funny story because about a year ago a man came into my work with two kids and he was big and looked like he was someone but I had no idea who. I was more interested in chatting with his kids because they were so cool. Come to find out it was Brian Urlacher.

3. What is something fun about Fall in your area?
Every year in my downtown of the town I live in we have a Christmas walk in Novemeber. Where all the little shops stay open late and serve hot chocolate, apple cidar, cookies, and people are singing carols. Gets me ready for the holiday season.

4. Fall Favorite outfit staples?
Oh gosh, I have this fabulous cashmere knit pull over sweater, my favorite long leggings, and my motorcycle boots or lepoard ballet flats.

5. Things you are looking forward to most about this coming Fall season?
All the great new and favorite old TV shows returning. Haha.

6. Favorite Fall holiday? Traditions?
Um... I really don't have any. We don't have kids yet so we haven't started any traditions yet.

Friday Letters

Good Morning Dolls! Friday already?? Or should I say August 3rd, what what?!?! It's so bittersweet because at the end of August is my Birthday (the 25h so mark your calendars!) and I'm always excited for that but then on the other hand it marks the end of the summer (NOOO!!!). So I am linking up with Adventures of a Newlywed for

Photobucket

I hope she's doing it but if not oh well I still have a lot to write about. So let's jump in!

Dear Car: I know I wrote about you last week but shockingly I have good news, wait what?? I feel like car repairs and good news in the same sentence is a oxymoron. However when my car repair bill jumped from $420 to $1100 in a matter of a phone call I was frustrated but what could I do. Well because my repair man was so honest (again another oxymoron here) when I went to pick up my car the one part he thought I needed and ordered for me he was actually able to fix mine therefore saving me $300!!! I was ecstatic!! So thank you car repair man and thank you car for actually working with me here. Let's be friends again.

Dear Hubby: I swear I love you with all my heart but why do I always think your birthday is the 8th and I can never remember the year you were born in?? I am going to blame it on all the other great things I do for you that this just slips my mind. BUT you still need to tell me what you want for your birthday. I mean I know you have the greatest gift of all...ME.. duh..joking! You would say the dog.

Dear Olympics: I am obsessed with you! I didn't know anyone's name well with the exception of Micheal Phelps and now I'm shouting your names at my TV as I'm watching you compete. I get so nervous as you do your routine and can only image what you're really feeling. Keep up the good work Team USA!!

Dear Nordstrom: I really thought I could skip by your Anniversary Sale but really who was I kidding?? I ended up caving yesterday and the joys of online shopping took over. I mean how can I argue with things I love obsessed with being on sale and in a few short days going back to full price. Here is what I got:

So the first picture- the 'live in leggings' I already own a pair and am obsessed so I may have ordered 2 more pair. I mean how could I not?? Originally $52 and now on sale for $33. I mean it's like two for the price of one.

Dear Erin Condren: I love your Life Planner and I swear I should just delete your e-mails you send me because you're latest e-mail has me feeling like I need your notebooks. Check it out here and this is the color I want- the turquoise and white one. I would add the month at a view option. I would like to use it to write down my blog ideas and rough drafts. What are your thoughts?? Or does anyone have this and have any input?? PS I do have a $10 coupon too.

Thanks for reading and I hope that everyone has a great weekend. Can't wait to read all of your Friday Letters.

Krav Maga

Good Morning Tuesday! I hope everyone is having a good start to their week, thankfully I was off Monday (nothing like being off on a Monday). So I was a little stumped on what to write about today but I decided to share a new fitness regiment I've decided to incorporate in my already jammed back fitness schedule.
If you've been following my blog you may know I'm all things obsessed with working out. I currently do Crossfit 5 days a week, run, and bike, however I'm always open to new ways to work out. So I've heard a lot of great things about Krav Maga but there was never a place in my area that offered it. I had kind of forgotten about it until one day I walked into my Crossfit gym and saw a sign for Krav Maga and I was ecstatic, I guess the owners of a Krav Maga gym was renting out space of my Crossfit gym when we weren't using it. This was perfect! I had signed up ASAP to try a class out and then to my shock when I told my husband what I signed up for (he usually rolls his eyes anytime I tell him about another thing fitness I have taken under my belt) he told me he wanted to do it too! I thought hell might have frozen over, he usually leaves fitness to me. By no means is my husband out of shape or over weight, he is actually just the opposite he is probably under weight and very fit but naturally fit I hate him for that I mean I love you hunny!
So if you're not sure what this whole Krav Maga is here a video I found on YouTube to give you an idea.

Yes it's intense but it's something that could be used God forbid you find yourself in a dangerous situation and running isn't an option.

So my husband and I have done two classes so far and WOW what an amazing work out! We both love it and let me tell ya it defiantly gets the aggression out!

Oh and here is a photo of my injury from Crossfit today- we were doing box jumps at different heights, I was doing really well and I thought I could do a pretty high jump but I mis-judged and here is my wound to prove it:

My poor legs. But just like a good Crossfitter I continued with my work out.
