Friday Letters

Good Morning Friday! Gosh I can't believe it's the end of the week already, that means my stay-cation is slowly coming to an end. No fun. However because it's Friday I'm once again linking up for
Photobucket

So let's get started.

Dear Hubby: I'm so excited that we got our passport application filled out and our pictures taken, now just file and wait and off to see the world together! Also thank you for loving every inch of me and being so supportive of me and my decisions. I know you'll always be my side through thick & thin and I cannot even express to you how much that means to me.

Dear Working Out: You consumed me this week! But I loved every minute of it and wish I could spend all my days working out and being active.

Dear Self: Well I exhausted all my options with my ever battle of the weight gain- I eat healthy, work out everyday for at least 2 hours a day, and yet I'm still plagued with weight gain and pant size increase. Yes I'm very muscular and I like that however I still feel fat at times. I went to my last Dr. to figure out what's plaguing my body and came up with no answers. He gave me a list of options:
- Weight Loss surgery -- Are you kidding me?? That's just NOT for me
- Work out ore -- Unless I'm suppose to quit my full-time job I don't know how I can possibly work out more
- Go on the new FDA Weight Loss Drug -- I just don't feel comfortable putting something foreign in my body that we don't know the long-term effects of
- Accept it -- This seemed like the only safe and logical answer, after much soul searching and still coming to grips with my body I am learning to accept with what I'm graced with and move on.

Dear Justin Bieber: Your new CD is AMAZING! No wonder why you were the highest paid celeb under 30 for 2011/2012. I mean I cannot stop hitting repeat, I even did my 30 mile bike ride listening to your whole CD and a few songs more than just once. Keep CD's like this coming!

Dear Weekend: WOW I actually have plans, what?! Normally the weekends I do have off (once a month) the hubby & I don't have plans or at least anything exciting. However this weekend we have plans for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! This is a first. I'm going to try and take many pics to share at a later post.

Dear New Dress code: You're exhausting me both physically and financially. Thank goodness I have a pile of returns to make. I am in the final stages of finalizing my new dress code for work. I brought my jeans to the tailor to get hemmed, bought a new pair of shoes, and order my last and final blazer (from Forever 21- go figure). I also got my cardigans in from Lands End. On Friday launches our new dress code, hopefully it all comes together.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

  3. Jessie -

First off, you're beautiful and don't listen to that doctor! Recommending that some have weight loss surgery, take risky pills or work out even more than you do is insane. I think half of the battle is self acceptance. Once you have that then it makes everything else that much easier.

I workout to be healthy and eat to live a healthy life. I think as long as you're eating healthy and maintaining an active lifestyle - that's more than most people do. They say that you can't out train a bad diet - perhaps you're eating something your body doesn't agree with or process well. I had to give up all added sugars because I had crazy weight gain when I was eating them. I now get my sweets through natural fruit and have found the pounds stay off easier.

I'm jealous of your passports! I have mine but sadly have never used it and the future hubs still doesn't have one. We need to get on that!

Have a lovely weekend and remember - you're beautiful!

    1. Amanda,
Words cannot express how truly touched and greatful I was to read your post. Thank you for being so nice and voice of reason. I truly enjoy working out- it's my time to decompress, destress, and just be by myself. It's one of my favorite times of the day hence why I love doing it for so many hours. Haha. I am going to see my hollistic Dr to see what sugguestions they have because they have to be a lot better than the options I've been given thus far.

Well hopefully your passport will get used on your honeymoon or at least for your 1 year anniversary! Make it a point to go somewhere out of the country. I hope you're having a fun time planning your wedding, I know guest list has been the topic of your posts lately- no matter what people understand that there is a limit and if they are true friends they will support the decision and understand. Happy Weekend.

  4. Make sure they spell your name right when you get your passport. That royally screwed mine up. Fortunately, no one has noticed on our last few trips. I do have to send it in to get it fixed since I'll be traveling to several countries in September and can't afford to be detained because of the spelling. BAH.

    1. I know no good for the new dress code- I'll have to take a picture of it once it's all finialized so you all can see because I've been talking about this non stop. As for the JB CD it is worth every penny! I literally only skip 2 songs and it's not even that they are bad songs just compared to the rest of the CD they aren't my taste.

  7. Boo I would not like a dress code however i say that & yet I have one its called scrubs with hair in a ponytail. The joy of being a nurse! I think you are pretty the way you are! & passports are so fun & exciting, especially when you get to go visit all kinds of new places together :)

    1. Trust me there are some days I wish I could wear scrubs all day or at least my work out clothes since on my days off that's all I'm in. Haha. Although I give you MAJOR props for being a nurse because I don't think I could handle with what you guys have to do on a daily basis. So you deserve to have an easy dress code for sure! Thank you for the compliment, self acceptance I always think is the hardest thing to overcome but I'm on my path to over coming it. Thank you for being inspiring. I am very excited to leave this country! I just imagine by hubby & I laying on the beach with a cocktail in hand. Blissful. Happy weekend.
